Climbing just 2 flights of stairs per day will help lower your cholesterol levels and assist with weight regulation. One article I read stated that you could lose as much as 6lbs every year doing this alone! So dump the lift and hit the stairs. And if you work on the ground floor or you already use the stairs to get to your office – find some more stairs!!
Is your body ready for an endurance event?
Its that time of year again – days are getting lighter, more and more people seem to be going outside for their exercise rather than burying their heads in the gym, and the invites to take part in charity runs, bike rides and walks are everywhere. A number of our regulars are training for different events, ranging from sponsored walks to triathlons. The best way to prepare for such events (or just to get yourself back in shape after a few months off) is to seek the advice of a health professional to check where you are and listen to your body – if your car has been sat in the garage for 6 months, you wouldn’t take it out on a long trip without checking the oil, water and tyres, would you?
So, if you’re planning a big event or just wanting to get back in shape for the summer, give Barry a call on 01869 352000 and see what the team @ Prime Energy can do for you – fitness assessments, personal training and programme design sessions can all be tailored to you and work around other commitments.

Once again, Barry will be delivering his highly informative and motivational talk as we lead up to the London Marathon on April 26th. Having taken part in and completed London, Paris, New York and Chicago marathons – some on numerous occasions – he will pass on the pros and cons of enjoying the big day especially designed for the novice runner.
Just call the Prime Energy office on 01869 352000 to reserve your place.
And the award goes to……
Barry had the honour this week of being awarded the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire’s award for Outstanding Services to the Community at Christchurch, Oxford.
These awards are made annually to recognise people in Oxfordshire who have made an outstanding contribution to the communities in which they live and work, and who have had a high impact on the lives of others over a sustained period of time.
Well deserved after the success of the High Sheriff’s Olympic Challenge we organised last summer. Here is a picture of Barry with the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, Tony Stratton DL.
Huge congratulations!
Camp Energy is open for Christmas
Did you know we are the only premier camp open during these school Christmas holidays? Camp Energy is open between December 15th and 19th and we’re also running extra “Drop and Shop” sessions on December 22nd and 23rd. Leave the children with us in a safe, fun environment whilst you finish the Christmas shopping. We may even be able to arrange parking – to be confirmed.
However, we need your help. Please tell all your friends who normally use an “alternative” provider who couldn’t be bothered to open this Christmas that we are open … Please spread the word! www.campenergy.com
Camp Energy Christmas Drop and Shop
At Christmas we will be the PREMIER camp open in the area … the other operators all use sites that don’t close until the 19th so they can’t function. However, we open our doors for a full week from December 15th to 19th AND we have an added bonus – “Drop and Shop” sessions on December 22nd & 23rd! Please spread the word to all your friends with children of camp age (4-14), especially those who may previously have attended those camps that are closed this holiday. Remember: for every new client you send to Camp Energy, you’ll get some special Christmas Champagne, courtesy of Camp Energy.
As usual Christmas Camp Energy will be massive and we’ve already started planning all the great activities … so spread the word and don’t let the kids miss out!
SKI 2014 is Sold Out!
Our annual ski trip, which takes place on Jan 18-25 2014, is SOLD OUT!
The trip to the slopes of Vale D’Isere, which is our 21st annual ski trip, was fully booked back in July. Ye-ha! Now all that’s left to do is arrange a meet and greet party in a local hostelry, so our skiers can get to know each other, and the trip should go down a storm. 50% of the group are returning skiers who have got the bug and know we offer great value for money. How’s that for customer retention!
To see what you’re missing have a look here.
