Testimonial from Tim Stevenson OBE, Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire
“Just wanted to let you know that the team has received an award from SKY Sports F1 today for the fastest pit stop during the 2012 Malaysian GP.
This has some thanks to your training program you have put together and are putting myself and the guys through.
So keep up the good work and keep pushing us hard.”
Mark Grey, Race Team Operations Manager,
Sahara Force India – Formula One Team
“Thank you for the 11 sessions I have had with you over several months.
The one on one pace, the gentle challenge to do most amazingly simple things that I did not think I could do, and the suggestion to sort out my head, as the body was stronger than I imagined was invaluable.
I will be back for more, as there is no alternative to a healthy and generally flexible and fit body.”

“Having known many exercise/sports coaches, I am impressed by the way Barry changes his coaching style to suit the people in the class. For example, women generally respond well to lots of positive encouragement.
I think it’s because the early socialization of girls often leaves them feeling less confident of themselves and their abilities than boys, so more encouragement is needed. I’ve known male sports coaches trying to use the same techniques as they would for men (teasing, provoking, shouting) with disastrous effect on women i.e. loss of confidence and often tears!”

Since Barry Grinham visited Amber many years ago, he and Prime Energy Fitness have provided Amber’s young people with some wonderful opportunities, through both the donation of excellent fitness equipment and sponsoring them on Rona Sailing Project trips.
Amber ‘s residential centres give disadvantaged unemployed homeless young people the chance to transform their lives for the better so they have a future where work and a home of their own become a reality for them and not just other people. An important part of a young person’s development at Amber is regaining an interest in and improving their fitness which in turn improves their health, and the gym equipment plays such an important role in helping them to do that and because the equipment is at Amber centres, the young people can use it during any of their free time. The Rona Sailing Project is also a test of fitness and a wonderful opportunity for the young people to experience something completely new, improve their confidence and self-esteem and it has even been known to open the door to a future career working with boats.
Amber, and in particular the young people, are extremely grateful to Barry for his wonderful support and his commitment to helping the young people transform their lives.

“You were a great encouragement to the runners and they were all very grateful for your tips and experienced advice. I will send them all copies of your top tips.
To stand in at such short notice, and to do it so well, was a great help to us – you are a star!”

“I just want to write and let you know how much I enjoyed Thursday’s LBD class and session on nutrition and healthy eating. The exercise class was fantastic as always and I found the talk afterwards very informative and interesting. It was especially good to be able to ask questions and to have subjects like portion control explained and demonstrated so clearly and I have already started to put several of the things I learnt into practice.” S.B
