There was a worrying article in the Express recently that suggested that a massive 11.5 million Brits need to change their lifestyle or they’ll be at risk of developing diabetes.
According to the article, the number of people at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes has increased by 60% in the last year – and the millions at risk are in addition to the 4 million people already diagnosed with the condition.
What makes me really sad is that Type 2 Diabetes is something that can be avoided simply through exercise and diet! Eating less salt, fat and sugar, more fruit and veg and doing two or three good exercise sessions every week lowers the risks massively.
