Gourmet Dining at Kirtlington village hall,
Saturday, May 12th @ 7 pm,
carriages at 11.00pm
Enjoy a Spring feast with renown chef, Arthur Potts Dawson, in picturesque rural surroundings.
Arthur Potts Dawson began cooking in 1988. He started his career with a three-year apprenticeship with the Roux brothers. Working with Rowley Leigh at Kensington Place for two years, with Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers at the River Café for four years, Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall and Pierre Koffman both for a year.
He worked as head chef at the River Café and went on to restyle Petersham Nurseries Cafe, re-launch Cecconi’s restaurant, and to work as an executive head chef for Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant.
Potts Dawson was the star of The People’s Supermarket, televised on C4 in early 2011. With the concept of the show being staffed entirely by local residents, to keep costs low and prices affordable.
In January of this year, Arthur joined us for my ski trip and cooked an evening meal for the group which was outstanding (just ask any of those you may know who went on the tour). This is where this concept, fine dining in a village, first originated over a glass or two of wine and now its happening.
A cash wine bar will be in operation at the event and only alcohol & softs purchased at the bar are allowed at this event
Places are limited and even before this release, a number of seats/tables have been reserved. Don’t be disappointed.
