Talking of support….
C.L.I.C Home 2 Home Appeal
This summer I plan to canoe from Kirtlington to Canning Town – it’s a Home 2 Home journey for me.
I’ll be canoeing around 127 miles and obviously taking in both tidal and non-tidal elements of the Thames in my bid to raise money for C.L.I.C., the children’s cancer charity. For those that don’t know Canning Town, it lies upstream on the River Lee, en route to the Olympic stadium. It was once described by the Telegraph as “a dump” and it’s known in East London as “the den of thieves,” but it’s home to me.
Loads of class members and friends have already volunteered to join me along some parts of the route and we will be after your sponsorship. So please dig deep and watch this space for more info!
